District of Columbia Mechanical Closet Door Venting Requirements
The District of Columbia follows 2015’s International Mechanical Code requirements for closet door ventilation in terms of air flow requirements. This states that an opening having an area of not less than 100 square inches, shall be provided in the closet enclosure.
